WHAT IS A GICLEE PRINT?
Giclée literally means spray of ink and that is how a giclée print is made, with a fine spray of ink. Technology has become accessible enough that affordable printmaking has been put into the hands of the artist where it should be. At Faery Medicine we use a seven color Epson inkjet printer which produces a quality of print that used to only be possible on an Iris printer - a printer worth thousands of dollars. Epson printers are able to capture incredible detail both in strokes and color. We are very proud to be able to offer affordable prints of such high quality.

WHAT IS A LIMITED EDITION?
Buying a print that is part of a limited edition makes it more valuable after time because there will only ever be a certain number of prints produced. The full number of the edition is listed by each print in the Giclee Print link. Your print will be signed and numbered which is the seal of approval by the artist. You will also receive a certificate of authentication which is an official document that has all the information you will need if you ever decide to sell your print. Buying limited edition prints is an investment.

WHAT MEDIA DO YOU USE ON YOUR ORIGINALS?
Media varies from piece to piece. There is colored pencil in all of them. Some have pen and ink and acrylic airbrush. If you click on the image you want to know about, you will be taken to more information and the media will be listed on the right side with the size of the original illustration.

DO YOU LICENSE YOUR WORK TO OTHER PUBLISHERS?

WHAT HAPPENED TO FAERY MEDICINE BOOKMARKS?

Bookmarks have not been selling as much and the sleeves for the bookmarks need to be purchased in large blocks. In order to continue making them the price was going to have to go up. We decided to discontinue them, but we still have a few left. Feel free to contact us for the one you are looking for.

WHAT HAPPENED TO FAERY MEDICINE WISDOM AND FAERYTALE PRINTS?

Wisdom and Faerytale Prints (8x10) were more popular at festivals and not as popular online. Faery Medicine is no longer doing festivals and the stock of prints was getting difficult to store. You can still order them for $10 a piece or 3 for $25. Contact us to place your order.

WHAT HAPPENED TO FAERY MEDICINE SILK PRINTS?

Faery Medicine Silk Prints are like treasures, but they are very time consuming to make and it was impossible to have prints in stock for every image. Sometimes they took more than two weeks to make depending on the weather and the luck of the printing process. There are still some available and there will be special editions available along the way. Feel free to contact Faery Medicine to check our stock or to inquire about availability of special editions.

CAN I BUY FAERY MEDICINE IN STORES?
Not at this time. Producing cards by hand was too time consuming to keep up with wholesale orders. If we decide to produce the cards in large batches we may go back to it. In the meantime, these are the stores where Faery Medicine was carried...just in case they have any left:
